Lesenswerte Blogs Älterer

Hello All, unter meinen Kollegen im Senioren-Bloggen fällt mir u.a. Ronni Bennett auf, mit ihrem „Time Goes By“ – Blog*. „Die Zeit vergeht“, als Quintessenz des Lebensgefühls im Alter. Clevere Überschrift, dachte ich, da lese ich weiter. Zuerst beeindruckte mich ihr Bienenfleiß. Sie hatte ihrerseits das Projekt „elderblogs“ angeschoben. Eine Übersicht zu englischsprachigen Blogs von Älteren, ab 55 Jahren, die frei von kommerziellen Absichten schreiben. Mal Witziges, mal Nützliches oder Privates. Die jüngste Aktualisierung listet 250 aktive, englischsprachige Blogs auf. Siehe unten**. Noch mehr beeindruckte mich, als sie ab Herbst 2018 schrieb, unheilbar an Bauchspeicheldrüsenkrebs und dessen Metastasen leiden. Sie schreibt in der Gewissheit, in wenigen Monaten zu sterben. Sie dokumentiert in ihrem Blog „ihr größtes Abenteuer“. Und wie das ihre Gewohnheiten radikal geändert hat: Auf Gewichtszunahme beim Essen aufpassen? Fitness? – warum sollte sie das jetzt noch kümmern? E-Mail entrümpeln und Nachrichten ausdünnen. Fast nichts mehr kaufen.  Schluss mit Harmonieheucheln und keine Zeit mehr mit Leuten vergeuden, die ihr wenig bedeuten. Welche Bücher sie in der Restzeit noch lesen will, beschäftigt sie schon eher. Und ihr Experiment mit halluzinatorischen Pilzen, in der Hoffnung, mit solchen Grenzerfahrungen sich besser auf’s Sterben vorzubereiten.
